The total amount paid by a client for Dominica citizenship consists of three parts: (1) payment to the Government, (2) payment for due diligence and (3) professional fees. (i) Payment to the Government The price which is payable to the Government for Dominican for citizenship depends on whether the application is for an individual only or for a family. (a) Individual Application: Where the application is for one person only, the fees payable to the Government is US$76,777.00, broken down as follows: Lump sum payment $75,000.00 Total US$76,777.00 (b) Family Application: For the purpose of an application, a family consists of husband, wife and up to two children under 18 years old. For such a family the lump sum payment to the Government is $100,000.00. If there are more children under 18 years old, the sum of $15,000.00 must be paid for each of them. If there are children between 18 and 21 years, $25,000.00 must be paid for each of them. In addition to these payments, the following amounts are also payable to the Government. Application fee US$1000.00 (Non-refundable) (ii) Due Diligence fees: In order to maintain the integrity of the programme, the Government of Dominica requires that background checks be done in respect of each adult applicant. These checks are done by one of two internationally recognized private investigation agencies based in the United States. The fee for such due diligence must be paid by the client and normally ranges from about $5,000.00 to about $7,000.00.
